Sprout is an indoor planter designed for people who can’t manage to keep their plants alive. The planter creates the perfect environment for successful growth. This includes self-irrigation, full UV spectrum lighting and air flow ventilation. The result is a tool that allows users to grow fresh produce indoors all year round with minimal effort.

In early 2011 Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) invited the design team to explore opportunities for improving user experience in the foyer of Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. The design team joined forces with IBI Group Architects, to redesign the main hospital building, which was erected in the 1970s. Research methods were conducted to design for the elderly and ethnically diverse patrons of the hospital.

This project was a collaboration between the design team and 18Karat home decor. The brief called for a table design that was mobile betweens indoor & outdoor spaces and expandable to seat up to 16 guests. The final table design was to be sold in a retail setting for $6000 and was constructed from locally sourced larch wood.

High Street is a 600,000 square foot (LEED) certified outdoor shopping centre, which aims to bring urban lifestyle to a suburban region. This dense development is expected to deliver a high level of traffic for the region, and is seen as one of the largest outdoor shopping developments in Canada. The final design used bright colours, natural imagery and witty signage to portray youthful freshness, contrasting with the stark airport environments. The airport authority approached the design team to create a commercial strategy that would establish a passenger experience surpassing the competition and increase their already explosive reputation. Shanghai @ Pudong International Airport, China

Hopestar is an asian fusion restaurant located in Shanghai Pudong airport. The goal was to revitalize the restaurants image by embracing Chinese heritage, while infusing the brand with contemporary western trends. The end product mixed Chinese calligraphy and folklore with contemporary line and colour. Personal responsibilities included; logo creation, brand development and exterior signage.

Changi International Airport has over 300 retail outlets, making it one of the largest retail airports in the world. Bidding to potentially manage and operate a number of these spaces, HMS Host contracted the design team to create promotional packages that could catch the eye of Airport Authority and Operators.
